    Georgian Water and Power (GWP) is a leading company in the water supply market in Georgia. GWP provides water supply to Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Mtskheta cities, ensuring a full cycle of management and serving more than 2 million people.

    Of more than 705 000 consumers of the company, 662 992 are residential, and 42 311 are non-residential.

    Georgian Water and Power obtains access to water supplies using ecologically clean and sustainable methods, creates products crucial for living- high-quality potable water, and ensures its transportation and delivery to the customers. The company also offers sewage services and ensures wastewater drainage through a sewage network. More than 3,000 employees of Georgian Water and Power are committed to the water supply and sewerage systems for Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Mtskheta cities.

    The managing company of Georgian Water and Power is Georgia Global Utilities (GGU).

    Georgia Global Utilities (GGU) is a governing company for Tbilisi, Mtskheta, and Rustavi water supply systems and energy supply facilities. GGU owns four hydroelectric stations with a total 149 MWh capacity: Titrikhevi Power Plant, Bodorna Power Plant, Saguramo Power Plant, and Zhinvali Hydroelectric Station, which ranks second among hydroelectric stations with water reservoirs across Georgia.

    Since 2022, 80% of the company has been owned by one of the largest companies in the European water supply market, a Spanish company FCC Aqualia, while 20% is owned by the investment holding “Georgia Capital”.

    The Spanish water supply company FCC Aqualia is a water management company, which is owned by FCC (51%) and IFM Investors (49%). Aqualia is the fourth largest water management company in Europe and ninth in a global ranking. Aqualia provides its services to 45.2 million consumers in 18 countries, in particular: Georgia, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Mexico, Oman, Peru, Portugal, Qatar, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Chile, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, the Czech Republic, and Romania.
