14/03/2014 In near future population of village Didi Lilo will be provided with 24 hour water supply
In near future population of Didi Lilo will already be provided with 24 hour water supply. Georgian Water and Power is continuing to work on 24 hour water supply of Tbilisi within new administrative boundaries. Under the project the company is simultaneously carrying out complex technical works in eight settlements which have been recently joined to Tbilisi.
For the purpose of becoming familiar with works of 24 hour water supply being in progress in the joined settlements, today Nikoloz Bakhtadze Administrative Director of Georgian Water and Power has taken Guliko Zumbadze, member of Tbilisi Legislative Assembly, Chairman of Tbiliselebi - Faction of “Georgian Dream” to look round the works in Didi Lilo.
Didi Lilo is one of the recently joined settlements where for the purpose of 24 hour water supply, comprehensive technical works have been carried out since December 2013. In compliance with GWP project 2 drinking water reservoirs will be rehabilitated in Didi Lilo. Total volume of which is 500 cubic meters. Simultaneously rehabilitation of the pumping station has already started. Construction of 2 580 meter, 200 mm pressure trunk line is being constructed as well. It will pump drinking water from the pumping station to the reservoir. 1 800 meters of the line has already been laid. In addition water distribution lines will be laid in the village with the total length of 10 630 meters. The company has already completed 3 600 meters of distribution line. In addition main wells and isolating valves will be arranged on the distribution lines. The complex works will be completed by the end of April. After putting into service of those facilities problem of water supply for 3500 people, living in village Didi Lilo will be resolved and they will be supplied with 24 hour water supply.
Residents of Didi Lilo have been provided with water from partially and spontaneously arranged water supply systems. The village water supply system has no sufficient air pressure and due to that it is impossible to provide stable water supply.
To date similar situation has been in other settlements within new administrative boundaries of Tbilisi, such as Tsinubani, Patara Lilo, Avchala -2, Giorgitsminda, Mukhiani -2, village Digomi and Nasaguri. The company is carrying out complex technical works simultaneously and they will be completed at the end of April. After that the company will move to other settlements and villages.
Georgian Water and Power will complete 24 hour water supply project within new administrative boundaries of Tbilisi at the end of 2014. That means that recently joined territories of the capital will have 24 hour water supply and not according the schedule.
