30/11/2015 Rehabilitation of Main Water Pipeline in V m/r Nutsubidze is Monitored by the Joint Working Group
The rehabilitation works, planned by the joint working group in the frameworks of new initiative of the City Council and Georgian Water and Power company, today have been inspected on-site by Deputy Head of Vake District Administration Zviad Chilaia and GWP Chief Operating Officer Mamuka Kikalishvili.
This is one of the infrastructural works being in progress in the capital, which, in compliance with the initiative, is planned by the working group involving the representatives of the City Council, Vake district Administration and Georgian Water and Power company. Execution of the works has its concrete time schedule and their timely and quality execution is also monitored by the working group.
Georgian Water and Power company is replacing 300 m long section of D=300 mm main water pipeline, running in V m/r Nutsubidze, with a new one. The pipeline is feeding the drinking water reservoir located on the marking of 720 m. The reservoir is supplying water to IV and V m/r of Nutsubidze. Completion of the rehabilitation works and commissioning of the section is planned for the end of December current year. As the result in IV and V m/r of Nutsubidze the cases of damaging of the main pipeline, causing cutting of water supply, will be reduced to minimum.
The initiative of the City Council of Tbilisi and new management of Georgian Water and Power company, implying creation of joint working group with the purpose of coordinated performance of the infrastructural works, is already effective. At the moment, the working groups involving the representatives of the City Council, district Administration and Georgian Water and Power company, which are planning together the works related to infrastructure improvement, including rehabilitation of water supply and sewage networks. The working groups are also monitoring completion of technical works in the due time.
