08/12/2015 Georgian Water and Power revealed about 100 facts of illegal consumption of water
Owner of Iya hotel in Pekin avenue, an individual entrepreneur Iakob Baramidze was additionally billed GEL 3,079 for illegal consumption of water during one month, and an owner of Keria restaurant in Beliashvili street – GEL 4,619. The car-washing plant in Sanapiro street owned by Good Tyre Ltd has consumed water without metering for GEL 1, 454 within one month. All three entities managed to embezzle water via illegal lines.
New management of Georgian Water and Power company makes publicly available information about the companies who have illegally consumed oversize amount of drinking water. During just one week the company’s mobile groups revealed within the framework of the investigation about 100 facts of illegal consumption of water. Cost of drinking water makes up GEL 142 000. All violations were stated in individual acts drawn up under the GNERC established rules and amount of illegally consumed water was defined.
Georgian Water and Power company continues taking vigorous measures since illegal consumption of water inflicts serious losses to the company and increases its commercial losses. At the same time the company offers cooperation to the owners of all those entities, who keep consuming drinking water illegally. In case of confession they will be released from fine.
