11/07/2016 Graduates of the first stage of "GWP Academy" saw around GWP facilities
Human Capital Development Department of Georgian Water and Power company held a tour on Saturday, July 9 to conduct practical studies for the graduates of the first stage of GWP Academy.
35 students of the Academy together with their mentors visited Grmagele filter station, Saguramo pumping station and the laboratory. They also surveyed Saguramo HPP, Misaktsieli infiltration areas and Zhinvali HPP during the tour.
Mentors of GWP Academy – head of Central Chemical and Microbiological Testing Laboratory Tamar Nikuradze, technologist of operations department of Samgori filtration station George Demurishvili and head of pumping stations and reservoirs Department Gia Magradze led the tour. They provided detailed information about GWP facilities to the graduates.
GWP Human Capital Development Department has launched the project of GWP Academy to increase professional skills of new employees of the company. Nine highly experienced employees were assigned as mentors for the project and 35 students completed successfully the first stage including 6 modules of water supply/sewerage, designing and water quality management.
The program of professional and career development of GWP staff will continue throughout the year. The management of GWP plans to invite external experts for the studies of strategic approaches and modern trends of the company.
