15/04/2010 Georgian Water and Power Company Held a Corporative Presentation
The Georgian Water and Power Company held a corporate presentation at Radisson Blue Iveria hotel today to familiarize the attenders with the Company’s activity in a better way.
Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia Mr. Goga Khachidze, Minister of Economic Development of Georgia Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, Minister of Refugees and Accomodation Mr. Koba Subeliani, Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance Ms. Khatuna Kalmakhelidze, the Mayor of Tbilisi Mr. Gigi Ugulava, members of Georgian Parliament, representatives of embassies accredited to Georgia and international organizations, managers of large companies and representatives of NGOs as well as mass media were invited to attend the Company’s event.
General director of GWP Mr. Joerg Matthies summed up the work performed by the Company since May, 2008 up to the present. The manager of the Company pointed out in his speech the ongoing and completed comprehensive rehabilitation work and reconstruction of the Company’s large facilities’; he reviewed the quality of water supplied to the capital city and the respective observance of international standards. Mr. Joerg Matthies dwelt on the measures taken by the Company to improve customer relationship; he evaluated the course of the debt restructuring special program offered to the Tbilisi population at different times and its results; he also discussed importance of the ongoing joint action with the City Hall which stipulates benefits for the residents of Tbilisi being in arrears. Mr. Joerg Matthies thanked Tbilisi Mayor Mr. Gigi Ugulava for support and expressed hope, that cooperation between the Company and the City Hall will become more effective in the future and enable both sides to jointly emplement a number of projects. According to Mr. Joerg Matthies in the long run all joint projects will promote the capital city’s development and welfare of its population.
Mr. Joerg Matthies presented the Company’s further development strategy to be implemented within 2010. Presentations of the Company’s new website (www.georgianwater.com), a film depicting the GWP activity and photo exhibition were also held. A performance was delivered for the invited guests and the “Movement Theatre” band played for them.
