10/06/2016 Georgian Water and Power Company held first press-conference within the "Report to Tbilisi” project
Georgian Water and Power company changes to new stage of public relations.
The Company has launched the project of “Account to Tbilisi” since today June 10. The Company’s management will report on its activity to the population of Tbilisi on a regular basis, several times per month. The top managers and mid-level executives of the company will discuss GWP plans, projects and all the topical issues, which may be of interest to the community.
The Company’s Communications Director Eka Beridze presented to the journalists the “Account to Tbilisi” project at the briefing held today. The GWP Operations Director Mamuka Kikalishvili dwelt on the Company’s rehabilitation plans providing specifically for the renewal of more than 100 kilometers of water supply networks in 2016. The rehabilitation projects have been planned for all the residential districts of Tbilisi which will significantly develop the capital city’s water supply system. According to the chief dispatcher of Tbilisi Temur Janelidze the Company is actively implementing the valves project which implies the installation of 6 000 Euro standard shut-off control valves. It will result in minimizing of the range of water supply discontinuation for any reason.
The Company representatives also discussed a new concept of the model of business-centers. According to the new concept Tbilisi will be divided in zones of water supply and specific business-centers will bear responsibility for each zone. It will allow the Company to manage its infrastructure in a better way and plan the rehabilitation works in efficient way.
By the end of the press conference the journalists went round the Company to see the renewed dispatch service and hot line of GWP.
