30/11/2010 New Service Center in Didube Chugureti
Georgian Water and Power Company, in order to improve provision of service to customers, has completed improvement and equipping of new service center in Didube-Chughureti district of Tbilisi.
New regional service center, which is located in #59a Aghmashenebeli street in the opposite side of “Mikhail’s Hospital” , was opened by general director of GWP Joerg Matthies. Chairman of the board of administration of Didube-Chughureti Ramaz Sulamanidze also visited the service center and expressed interest in its operation.
New comfortable office offers all conditions so that the Tbilisi customers could receive streamlined service corresponding to the international standards. This office will serve 50937 families (customers) who live in Didube-Chughureti district, including the IDPs compactly living in the district, as well as 2888 budgetary, health and commercial facilities.
As GWP general director Joerg Matthies pointed out new service center of Didube-Chughureti along with other regional offices of the company will work flexibly to adjust the amount of customer indebtedness and number of customers stated in the bills. According to him regardless the service administrator system’s becoming effective GWP continues offering residents of Tbilisi programs of the debt easy payment.
Residents of Tbilisi in arrears can approach as Didube-Chughureti service center as any district office of the Company where they will be offered assistance in repaying the sum of indebtedness and various preferential terms.
• distribution of the total amount of the debt for 36 months; portion of the indebtedness will be repaid together with the current payment on a monthly basis;
• if a customer in arrears, whose debt originated before 2010, makes a one-off payment of 60 % of the debt and the current debt originating from 1 January 2010, the company will write off 40 % of the debt accumulated before 2010;
• for the socially unprotected families the company will establish individual and unprecedentedly preferential terms.
Besides the customers will be able to approach Didube-Chughureti service center and receive information about water supply and sewage, in particular, on carrying out the preventive, planned or rehabilitation works. The service center technical department will provide the customers with all necessary information and render technical service related to the registration as customers and installation of meters. Those are the operations in connection with which the customers would lodge applications to the head office of the company earlier.
By opening new regional office GWP completed the updating process. Now in all districts of Tbilisi operate renovated service centers.
