18/09/2012 Rustavis Tskali carries on rehabilitation of water supply networks
CEO of Rustavis Tskali company Joerg Matthies together with other managers of the company familiarized the mayor of Rustavi Lasha Mindeli with rehabilitation works going on in 20th micro region on the spot. The mentioned micro-region’s main networks and branches are being rehabilitated and amortized 160 mm diameter steel pipe is replaced by polyethylene pipe.
Rustvis Tskali company will reconstruct underground communications on 90 streets of Rustavi during 2012 and on 50 of them the works have been already completed.
For the improvement of water supply Rustavis Tskali has implemented more than one project for recent years: 22000 meter length 6 KW electricity transmission line was constructed with powerful transformer, which supplies electricity to Khrami headwork and pumping stations; large-scale rehabilitation works were done on water supply main conduit including the two main conduits of 800 mm running across river Kova and the 700 mm main which feeds the town; full rehabilitation underwent water supply networks of more than 20 streets of Rustavi, as well as interquartile networks. Rehabilitation of Rustavi street networks continues in the current year as well. Starting from November 2010 the company has been gradually carrying out complex reconstruction works on the important water supply facility of the town such as Khrami headwork. This project will continue this year as well.
The rehabilitation works carried out by Rustavis Tskali made more stable and reliable water supply of Rustavi, Gardabani, and several villages of Marneuli, brought to minimum failures in the town’s networks and water losses. What is the most important the population of Rustavi is supplied now water in a stable mode and continuously.
